Hydroxy ipronidazole-d 3 is the deuterium labeled Hydroxy ipronidazole. Hydroxy ipronidazole (Ipronidazole-OH) is a metabolite of nitroimidazole antibiotics, such as ipronidazole (IPZ). Hydroxy ipronidazole may has similar mutagenic potential as the parent compound[1].
